RED CHILLI CHUTNEY, RED THEEKA CHUTNEY

Red Theeka Chutney is used for chaat items.  It is a simple preparation and can be made at home easily. It is made with red chilli, garlic, lemon juice, salt and roasted cumin powder.

Let us look at the recipe now:





Ingredients:

Whole dry red chillies  5 nos
Garlic cloves - 5-6 nos
Lemon Juice 1/12 tsp
salt to taste (sea salt also can be used)
roasted cumin powder - 1 tsp

Method:

Soak red chillies in water for one hour.  
Drain and grind the red chillies and garlic cloves with lemon juice to a fine paste.
If required, add water.  (i added 1/4 cup water)
 Add sea salt or normal salt 
Add cumin powder and mix well.
