Mango ginger rice or manga inji sadam or ambe halad bhath is prepared with mango ginger which is available in south side. In north side also it is available and is called ambe halad (you get orange colour and white colour orange colour is used for preparing haldi powder after due process and white colour is used for pickle). It is similar to the ginger but have a different taste.

Ingredients:
1 cup cooked rice
2 tsp mango ginger pickle or thokku or paste mango-ginger-pickle-thokku-manga-inchi.html
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
few curry leaves
salt as per taste
garnishing:
coriander leaves and grated coconut
Method:
Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds and curry leaves, when it splutters, add the mango ginger pickle or thokku in it and saute for a minute. now add the rice, mix well. check the salt, if necessary add. garnish with coriander leaves and grated coconut. serve hot with raita or papad.
