ASHGOURD HALVA, POOSHNIKA HALVA, KUMBALANGA HALVA, SAFED BOPLA HALVA, sugar free, diet friendly

Ashgourd halva is made out of grated ashgourd, milk and sugar.  It is a very easy preparation and a very nice sweet dish.





Let us have a look at the recipe now:

Ingredients:

1 cup ash gourd grated
1 cup  milk
10 tsp sugar free
cardamom powder
1 tsp ghee


dry fruits for ganishing;


Method:

squeeze out the water from the ash gourd and keep aside.
Heat ghee in kadai.  Saute the ashgroud for 5 minutes.
add the milk and boil till the milk is completely dried up.
add the sugarfree and mix well.  wait till the moisture id dried up. add cardamom powder mix well.
transfer into a vessel, garnish with dry fruits.  serve hot or cold as you wish.

Variation:  You can put 1/2 cup sugar and make the halva if you do not want diet friendly halva.
