KHAJUR, SAGO KHEER



I was craving to eat some sweets and want something instantly.  when i looked in the fridge, khajur was lying in one packet.  my husband had soaked some dry khajur to eat.  immediately i soaked 2 tbsp sabudana and the khajur and here is the recipe. It is healthy, tasty too.

Khajur sago kheer



Ingredients:

2 tbsp  sabudana
3 dry khajur
1 seedless khajur
3 tbsp grated jaggery
cardamom powder
1/4 cup thick coconut milk
pista for garnishing

Method:

soak sabudana for half an hour in water
soak the dry khajur and the seedless khajur in hot water for half an hour.
grind them together with jaggery  to a smooth paste
cook the sabudana, add the ground paste to it and cook for 5 minutes.
add the cardamom powder, coconut milk stir and remove from gas.
garnish with pista.

Variation:   you can fry the kaju, coconut bits  in ghee and add to the kheer.
