I have already posted the water melon dosa. The Cucumber dosa also has the similarity of watermelon
dosa. water-melon-dosa-tarboosini-dosa-dosa.html
During the rainy season, we get the long green cucumbers. The inside portion is divided into three parts which can be seen from the picture posted below. It is a nice, healthy breakfast if served with spicy chutney along with it.
During the rainy season, we get the long green cucumbers. The inside portion is divided into three parts which can be seen from the picture posted below. It is a nice, healthy breakfast if served with spicy chutney along with it.
Let us have a look at the recipe now:
Ingredients:
1 long large
cucumber
1 cup rice
2-3 green
chilli
¼ tsp black
pepper
¼ tsp cumin
seeds
1 small
piece of ginger
2 garlic
pods
2 tbs grated
coconut (optional)
Salt
A pinch of
asafoetida
A small
piece of jaggery
Oil for
making the dosa.
Method:
Wash and
soak the rice for 2 hours.
Drain the
rice and grind it along with the squeezed water, and other ingredients to a
smooth paste.
Add salt,
mix well. Now mix the grated cucumber in
it again mix well and keep aside for 2 hours.
You can make this instantly too.
Heat a tava,
smear with oil when it is hot, pour one ladle of batter in it and spread. You cannot spread it like the normal thin
dosa, it is slightly on the thicker side.
Pour oil. When the bottom side
is cooked flip it to cook the other side too.
Minimum 7-10 minutes it takes to make one dosa. Repeat the process for the remaining
batter. Serve hot with any kind of
chutney, sauce.
Can make
around 8-10 dosas.
