DILL LEAVES STIR FRY l SHEPU KA SUBZI l SUVA LEAVES BHAJI

Dill leaves are good for health.  When I tasted it for the first time, I could not bear the smell of it.  But neighbour Rinku had prepared it in such way that I liked it after tasting though the smell was little bit unbearable to me.  However, I started liking it and preparing on my own.  It is also known as Suva, Shepu etc.

Now it is a part of my menu once in a week and I love it and not my family members.



Total time taken: 30 minutes\
Serves: 1

Ingredients:

25 gms Suva/Shepu/Dill leaves
1small onion chopped
1-2 Garlic cloves
1 small Green chilli
1 Tsp Moongdal soaked
Turmeric Powder
Salt

Tempering:

1 Tsp oil
1/2 Tsp Mustard seeds
1/4 Tsp Cumin seeds

Garnishing:

1 Tbsp Grated coconut
1 Tbsp Crushed roasted peanut.

Method:

Step 1.

Wash and soak the moondal in water for 10-15 minutes. Clean the Dill leaves, pick the  leaves with tender stems.  Put in water for sometime to remove the mud, dirt etc. if any.  Chop the Dill leaves and Onion.

Step 2

Heat Oil.  Add Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds.  Add Garlic, Onion and saute till translucent.  Add 2 Tbsp water, Moongdal in it. Add chopped Dill leaves.  Add Salt, Turmeric Powder. Cover and cook.

How to serve:

Garnish with grated coconut and serve hot with Chapati, Steamed rice etc.
