SOUPY MASALA MINI IDLI l SOUPY MASALEDAR MINI IDLI l SOUPY IDLI

Tired of eating Idli Sambhar Chutney, try this Soupy Masala Mini Idli.  It is a wholesome meal because it has protein, Vitamin A,B,C, D, E & K and carbs etc.  You can serve this hot.  For children, you can add some Cheese on top of the Soupy Idli

I am sure you will definitely like this.





Let us look at the recipe now:

Time taken:  45 - 60  mts
Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:

1 Plate Mini Idli - 18 nos
1 Tbsp Moongdal (optional)
1 Tomato
1 Onion
1 Green Chilli (less spice one)
1/2" pc Ginger
2 Garlic cloves
2 Mint leaves
Pinch of Turmeric Powder
Salt
1 Tsp Sugar
1 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
1 Tsp Ghee
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds

Masala:

1/4 Tsp Pav Bhaji Masala
1/4 Tsp Red chilli powder
less than 1/4 Tsp Black pepper powder

Garnishing:

Chopped Coriander leaves
Butter
For Children - Grated Cheese (optional)

Method:

Step 1

Dry roast the Moongdal and powder it or you can grind it along with Tomato and Onion.

Step 2

Grind together the Tomato, Onion, Ginger, Garlic,Green Chilli, Mint leaves,Moongdal to a smooth fine paste.

Step 3

Heat ghee in kadai.  Add cumin seeds. When it crackles, add the ground paste in it and saute till it leaves the sides of the kadai.  Add the Masalas, Turmeric Powder, Salt and mix well.  Add two cups of water and bring to boil.  Add Sugar, Tomato ketchup.   Add the Mini Idlis and bring to boil.

How to serve:

Serve hot garnished with Coriander leaves and blob of butter.
