Pumpkin seed oil is rich in natural phytoestrogens and studies suggest it may lead to a significant increase in good HDL cholesterol along with decreases blood pressure, hot flashes, headaches, joint pains and other menopausal symptoms in post menopausal women.

Grinding time: 5 minutes
Yield : above half cup
Ingredients:
¼ cup dried pumpkin seeds.
¼ cup tuvar dal
2-3 red chilli (adjust spice level according to your taste)
Salt
asafotida a generous pinch.
1. Dry roast the pumpkin seeds and tuvar dal separately.
2. I kept the pumpkin seeds in microwave for one minute 5 times.
3. Tuvar dal and chilli I roasted on kadai. Allow to cool.
4. First grind the pumpkin seeds to a fine powder.
5. Add the tuvar dal, chilli and grind to a fine powder.
6. Add salt and pulse it for a minute.
Pumpkin tuvar dal parippu podi is ready.
How to serve:
Serve with hot plain rice with ghee or sesame seed oil.

I sprinkled the powder while making the colacasia dry subzi and it was awesome.
