MIX SPROUTS DOSA

Mix sprouts can be used for making Subzi, Usal or Misal too.  I normally do not restrict myself from one ingredients for making usal or misal.  As far as possible, I mix two or three varieties and sprout them.

Since sprouts are having abudnance of proteins, we can make use of the same for preparing subzi, dosa, adai etc.  Atleast, once in a week, we must make use of this.

Let us look at the recipe now:

Preparation time:  1 day and 2 hours (if you are buying sprouts from outside then 2 hours for soaking rice)
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Serves: 3-4

Ingredients:

1 Cup Mix Sprouts
3-4 Red chilli
1 Cup Idli  rice
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
3/4 Tsp Salt
1" Pc Ginger
Oil/Ghee for making dosa

Method:

Step  1

Wash and soak the rice overnight.

Grind together all the ingredients to a smooth paste.

Step 2

Heat a tava, sprinkle some oil in it and wipe with a kitchen towel.    Pour laddleful of batter and spread it in circular motion to make the dosa.  Add some oil and flip it to cook the other side too.

How to serve:

Serve hot with Vellam (Jaggery), Chutney, Arachukalakki, Potato subzi etc.
