TENDER COCONUT FALOODA WITH VANILA ICE CREAM

Here is yet another post of summer cooler.  Tender coconut itself is cooling.  Added to that is sabja or known as basil seeds makes it more effective.

Today was my friend's son's birthday and we made this as a surprise for them.  It was liked by all and her sister specially told me to make it some other day as she could not have it with ice cream due to her sore throat.  She said she will come with her husband specially to have this.

It is very simple and easy to make.

Tender coconut falooda

Let us look at the recipe now:

Ingredients:

1 glass of elaneer payasam (tender coconut payasam)
2 tbsp cooked sevai.
1 tsp basil seeds soaked in water.
1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
4-5 pistachios chopped

Method:

Put the elaneer payasam in the glass. (it should be chilled)
add the cooked sevai, basil seeds (sabja) in it.
top it with vanilla ice cream
garnish with pistachios
serve chilled.

Note:  If you do not get falooda sevai, you can use the normal vermicelli.
to make it:  boil water and add the vermicelli in it.  cook till soft.pass through a sieve, run through cold water immediately and allow to drip the excess water.   can add little sugar and ghee. by adding ghee it will get a glaze.  can add food colour to the sevai and use other coloured ice creams to have a colourful look of the falooda.

If you have rose petals, can chop the same and put it.
