LASSI


Lassi is made with thick yoghurt with sugar and it is quite soothing when served chilled during hot season.  I love to drink  lassi, butter milk etc. during the hot season from February to May and in October when the October heat starts.  The vendor used to make it in a cheeni mati bharani with the wooden churner and it was awesome.

It is quite easy to prepare any time by anyone if you have curd, sugar at home.








Let us look the recipe now:

1 cup curd
1/2 cup milk
3 -4  tbsp sugar (depending upon your requirement increase)
2 tsp malai (optional)
2 dried rose petals (optional)
1 tsp rose water (optional)
a pinch of cardamom powder (optional)
few chopped almonds/pistachios (optional)

The optional items are to make it more rich and flavourful.  It is absolutely your choice






Method:

Put the curd, milk, malai, sugar, rose water, cardamom powder  in the blender and blend it for few minutes.
pour it in a glass.  top it with crushed rose petals and serve chilled or you can put few ice cubes in it.
