ARBI GREEN PEAS TIKKI

Arbi green peas tikki is a snack item I made for the evening tea.  Instead of using potato, I used arbi and was liked by everyone.  For a change, you can avoid potato and enjoy this dish.  You can use this tikki for making ragada pattice too.

Let us look at the recipe now:

1/2 cup green peas boiled
8-10 pcs of arbi, colacasia, chembu
1 tsp 3G paste (green chilli, ginger and garlic)
1/2 cup bread crumbs or vari tandul (samo rice)
2-3 tbs chopped coriander leaves
1/2 tsp roasted saunf powder
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp white sesame seeds
2-3 tsp oil
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 amchur powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
salt
oil for frying

Method

Boil the arbi and green peas separately.remove the skin of the arbi and mash it.  mash the green peas also or alternatively you can put in mixer and mash it.  heat 1 tsp oil in kadai, add cumin seeds, white sesame seeds.  when it crackles add the arbi green peas mashed and saute.  add the masalas like chilli powder, haldi powder, garam masala, amchur powder, saunf powder, salt,  mix well and saute the same for few minutes. transfer to a plate and allow to cool.

equally divide the arbi peas mix and flatten the same.  coat with bread crumbs or samo rice and deep fry.  You can also shallow fry them on tava by coating on bread crumbs.

sincerely, I liked the deep; fried one but for health conscious people can satisfy themselves by shallow frying.
