WATER MELON HALVA, HALVA, TARBOOSE KI HALVA, THANNEER MATHAN HALVA

Water melon halwa is made out of the white portion of the water melon between the green skin and the red fruit.  It resembles somewhat like the Lauki/doodhi/bottlegourd halva but is really tasty withe the milk, dry fruits added in it.

Let us have a look at the recipe now:

Ingredients:

1 cup grated water melon ( after grating the same, squeeze out the water completely). The water can be used for making sharbat.
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1/4 cup milk made or milk powder
cardamom powder
dry fruits (cashew nuts, badam, pista, charoli etc)
ghee 2 tsp.


Method:

Heat ghee in a kadai and fry the cashews and keep aside.
Blanch the badam and pista for 10 minutes in hot water, remove the skin and chop them, keep aside.
In the same kadai, add the grated water melon and saute for 5 minutes.
Now add the milk, milk made, sugar  and cook the same till it starts leaving the kadai.
Add part of the dry fruits in it and mix well. transfer it into a bowl.
garnish with balance dry fruits and serve. 

It is a lovely dish experience, enjoy and do give me the feed back.
