METHI SPROUTS, BROCOLI PARATHA

Hi Viewers, after a long long time, I am back to the blogging and posting recipes.  This recipe is a price winning recipe in which I took part and really happy to share with you all.  This has got a very special ingredient i.e. Methi sprouts which is very good for health and got various medicinal values.

The main key ingredients were Sprouts, Broccoli, Yoghurt.  Normally everyone will use moong, matki etc.  Since every single person is very health conscious now a days, I thought of going for methi sprouts and the result is here.

Since I could not take out the photograph individually, I am posting the same photographs in all the three recipes i.e. Methi Sprouts, broccoli, yoghurt soup, Broccoli, Methi sprouts rice and Methi sprouts broccoli paratha.

Onion                                                                      1/2 or small one chopped
(you can saute the onion in little oil, cool and then add to the stuffing)
Paneer                                                                    20 gms
Cheese cube (optional)                                    1
Hung curd (optional)                                        1 tbsp
Salt as required.

Masalas:

½ tsp garam masala, ½ tsp green chilli paste, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp chat masala, generous pinch of black pepper and amchur powder.

Method:

Step  1

In a mixing bowl, put the flour, salt and mix well.  Add the curd, mix well and add water as required and make the dough.  Apply one tsp oil, cover and keep the dough.

Step 2

In a sauce pan put 1 cup of water and little salt and bring to boil.  Wash the broccoli and put it in the boiling water and cook for one minute.  Take out the broccoli and drain the excess water from it.  Put the methi seeds in the same boiling water and cook for a minute.  Drain and remove excess water.

Step 3

Finely chop the broccoli and crush the methi seeds.  In a mixing bowl put the chopped broccoli, onion, crushed methi sprouts, mashed paneer and put the masalas, salt  and mix well. Filling is ready

Step 4

To prepare the paratha:

Divide the dough into four portions and roll out chapatis.  Take Two chapatis, fill the stuffing in one chapatti and cover with the one and seal the sides.  Heat tava and place it on the tava.  Cook both the sides till brown spots appear by applying oil or ghee.

or

Roll out small roti, fill the stuffing, gather together and remove extra dough and then you roll out the paratha as you do for the stuffed paratha.

Serve hot with curd, pickle.
