SOYA BEAN VADA

Soya bean has got many nutritional values.  It is recommended to include in the diet specially for the ladies who have crossed 40 years of age and facing meno pause problems.    It is a good source of  calcicum, vitamins, minerals.  The vada is quite tasty and can be served as evening snacks with a cup of tea.

Let us look at the recipe now:

Ingredients:

Soyabean                                                          1 cup
chana dal                                                           1/4 cup (optional)
coriander leaves                                                 1/2 cup
green chillies                                                       2
red chilli                                                              1
fresh black pepper powder                                  1/4 tsp
 Curry leaves                                                      5-6
a generous pinch of asafoetida
salt
oil for deep frying.
onion                                                                   1 (finely chopped)
Method:

Soak the soyabean, chana dal and red chilli  overnight.


wash and grind them to a coarse paste
add the curry leaves, green chilli, red chilli, black pepper powder, asafoetida and pulse it for few seconds.
remove in a bowl and add the salt, chopped onion, coriander leaves  and mix well.
Heat oil in a kadai.
grease a plastic paper or plantain leaf
take out the batter of a large size  lemon and place it on the greased surface just flatten little bit, remove and put it oil for deep frying.  repeat the process with remaining batter and serve hot with chutney, sauce etc.

Note:  How you make dal vada, the process is same for making the above.
