LASOONI PARATHA

We all like parathas whether it is made out of aloo, methi or vegetables etc.  here is a simple and easy paratha can be served with hot cup of tea.  No need of any accompaniment, but if you wish, can be served with pickles, muramba, jam,  plain yoghurt or sweet

For making garlic bread, we are preparing the stuff of garlic, ginger and green chilli with butter.  the same masala,  I have incorporated in this.

Let us look at the recipe now:

1 cup wheat flour
11/2 " piece of ginger
7-8 garlic pods
2 green chilli (more if you want, add)
1 tbsp oil or butter
salt
chopped coriander leaves (optional)
a pinch of asafoetida
1/4 tsp ajwain (optional)

Method:

cut the ginger, make a paste of ginger, garlic and green chilli
in a mixing bowl, put the flour, paste, oil or butter, ajwain, chopped coriander, asafoetida, salt and mix well.
now add water little by little and make a smooth dough out of it.
equally divide the dough.
take one ball of dough, dust the flour and start rolling out the paratha.
parathas are normally made bit thick, but my children prefer thin version so I make it thin.
heat tava and place the same on it. cook both the sides till golden spots appear on it.
apply oil or ghee and cook well. serve hot with pickle, yoghurt or any dip.

Note: you can add black pepper powder if you wish.

You can make lasooni khakra out of this.  Lasooni paratha and khakra
