RAW BANANA CUTLET, BANANA CUTLET, KACHE KELE KI CUTLET, VAZHAKKAI CUTLET, VAZHAKKA CUTLET

I have posted a lots of sweets recipe for the past one week and it is time to post something savory. When you are on fast, you have to eat something without onion, lasoon etc.  must be scraching the head what to make ?  Here is another upwas recipe with raw banana, sabudana, singhare ka atta alias water chestnut flour or bhajni flour.

Raw banana is very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. It is also a good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin C, Potassium and Manganese, and a very good source of Vitamin B6.

Let us have a look at the recipe now:

Ingredients:

1.  2 raw bananas
2.  2 tbsp sabudana alias sago pearls
3.  4 tbsp bhajni flour (i used bhajni flour)
3.  3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
4.  salt as per taste (sentha namak)
5.  1 tsp lime juice
6.  1/2 tsp ginger paste
7.  1/2 tsp green chilli paste
8.  1/2 tsp red chilli powder   (masalas include as per your taste)
9.  oil for frying.
10. 2 tbsp sama chaval, chama arisi, vari tandul, sanwa (samo tice, Bhagar, variche tandul)
11.  1/4 tsp turmeric powder.

Method:

1.  cut both the ends of banana and pressure cook the same for 3-4 whistles.
2.  when the pressure comes down, remove the banana, peel off and immediately mash it to a smooth paste.
3.  soak the sabu dana for 1 hour.
4.  add the sabudana, bhajni flour, coriander leaves, salt, lime juice, gingr, green chilli paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well to make a dough
5.  take out small portions and make cutlet shape and coat with samo rice and deep fry them.
6.  serve hot with green chutney.

Note:  Instead of bhajni flour which is available ready made in Mumbai stores, you can use arrow root powder, kuttu ke atta, water chestnut flour, sabudana flour etc.
