Yam raita or pachadi is very easy to make. It is always liked by everyone with pulao, roti and this one can be served with idli and dosa too. Main ingredients are yam and curd. I served it with vermicelli dosa which I made today for breakfast.

Ingredients:
1 cup thick curd
1/2 cup chopped yam
1/2 tsp green chilli paste
1/4 tsp ginger paste
salt
Seasoning:
1 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urid dal
pinch of asafoetida
few curry leaves
garishing:
1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves.
Method:
Pressure cook the yam in a container without water with it. when cools down, mash it with a spoon. mix with the whisked curd, add green chilli paste, ginger paste, salt etc. season with the items mentioned under seasoning and garnish with coriander leaves. serve with dosa, idli, pulao, roti etc.
