TOMATO PARATHA

Hot paratha with curd, sugar and pickle is all time favourite of mine.  anytime you serve paratha directly from the tava to the plate, i am ready to eat.  Today I was thinking what to make for the breakfast and this idea came to my mind.  why not try with tomato?  the end product was too good.  So why are you wasting your time.

Let us have a look at the recipe now:

Ingredients;

1 big ripe tomato
1 cup wheat flour
less than 1/4 teaspoon each garam masala, chaat masala, coriander powder, chilli powder.
2 garlic cloves, a small piece of ginger and half green chilli (to make a paste of it)
a generous pinch of roasted cumin powder
salt to taste
1 onion chopped
3 tbsp chopped tomato
2 tbsp coriander leaves
oil/ghee for making paratha.

Method:

Boil water and immerse the tomato in it and cover.  let it rest for 10 minutes.  after 10 minutes take out the tomato, remove the skin, cut the head part and make a puree out of it. keep aside.

In a wide bowl, put the wheat flour all the masalas, chopped onion, coriander leaves, chopped tomatoes  and mix well.  add the tomato puree and knead the dough.  the puree is sufficient enough to knead the dough.  make equal parts of it (four parts).  take one part and roll out the paratha.  Heat a non stick pan and cook the paratha with oil or ghee and serve hot as you wish.

in the picture, you can see that i have cut the paratha into small discs and put the sauce on it.  children will be attracted to these kind of tricks.
