PANEER POTATO BONDA

Paneer potato bonda is a very tasty snack item.  I had one potato boiled and more than 50 gms paneer with me.  My daughter wanted to eat the chilli bhajia so I had made some besan batter for making the bhajia.

Since there were some left over batter, I thought of trying this bonda.  It was really awesome when I served it bot with some tomato sauce over a cup of tea or coffee.

Very easy to make with available ingredients at home.  So let us look at the recipe now:

Time taken: 30 minutes (if you have the boiled potato ready with you)
yield: 8-10 bonda.


Ingredients:

1 big potato boiled and mashed.
50 - 100 gms paneer crushed
1 onion finely chopped
2 tsp corinader chopped
salt
1 green chilli finely chopped.
Oil for deep frying.

Batter:

1/2 cup gram flour (besan)
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp ajwain
salt
a generous pinch of turmeric powder
1/2 tsp rice flour

Filling:

1.  In a mixing bowl, put the mashed potato, crushed paneer, onion, green chilli chopped, salt and mix well.  divide into equal balls and keep aside.

(You can put masalas as per your choice).


BATTER.

2.  In a mixing bowl, put the besan, chilli powder, ajwain, turmericpowder, rice flour mix well.  Add water and make a batter of it like you make for bhajia

3.  Heat oil in kadai.  dip the balls in the batter and put in the hot oil.  deep fry them till golden brown.

How to serve:

serve hot with tomato sauce or any kind of chutney.
