SHEV PAV

Shev pav is made with the normal Laadi pav we get for pav bhaji.  spicy potato masala is filled in the pav, generous amount of shev with sweet chutney and chopped coriander leaves.  It is yummy as a snack or breakfast whatever.  The aim is to fill your stomach with tasty, sumptuous item.

Ingredients:


1 laadi pav (6 pcs)
Shev (you can use the nylon sev as well as the medium sev)
2 potates
1 green chilli chopped
few curry leaves
1 tbsp roasted ground nut
turmeric powder
garam masala, salt, red chilli powder, chaat masala as per requirement.
2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
a generous pinch of hing powder
coriander leaves chopped
sweet chutney
green chutney
ghee to toast the pav

Method:

Heat non stick pan, apply ghee and toast the pav, keep aside.
Pressure cook the potatoes, peel and mash.  Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add the curry leaves, chopped green chilli, saute for few seconds.  Add the turmeric powder, mashed potato, salt and masalas, mix well.  keep it in the flame for two minutes and remove from the flame.
add the peanuts.

place one pav in a plate.  apply green chutney if you prefer on one side of the pav.  on the other side place the potato mix.  put sweet chutney on top of it.  add generously the sev, garnish with coriander leaves,  fold it with the chutney side, serve with sauce or as it is.




NOTE: you can add grated coconut if you wish.
