Pav Bhaji is a street food specially in Mumbai. The Yummy Bhaji with butter and buttered Pav is lip smacking dish you can enjoy anytime anywhere in Mumbai.
I like to make this for only one reason as almost all the vegetables you can add in this and feed the children those who are not eating certain vegetables.
Since this is a dish prepared very often at home, I thought of making the Masala powder at home and here it is.
Let us look at the recipe now:
Total time taken: 45 mts
Yield: 60 gms approximately.
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Coriander seeds
1 Tbsp Cumin Seeds
1 Tbsp Dry Mango Powder/Amchur Powder
1/2 Tbsp Black Pepper
1/2 Tbsp Fennel Seeds / Saunf
1/2 Tbsp Dry Ginger Powder
1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Bay leaf
5 Cloves
1 Black Cardamom
1Star Anise
1" Cinnamon / Dalchini
5 Red Chilli (if you want more spicy, add accordingly but we are also adding chilli powder at the time of making the Bhaji)
Method:
Dry Roast all the ingredients separately excluding Dry Mango/Ginger Powder/Salt/Turmeric Powder and grind to a coarse powder should not be very coarse.
Store in airtight container.
