GRILLED MANGO CHUTNEY l CHUTTA MANGA CHUTNEY l MANGO CHUTNEY

During Mango Season, i.e. summer, you get lot of  Raw Mangoes.  We make pickle, Ada Mangai, Aam ka Panha, Use it for making Amchur Powder i.e. Dry Mango Powder etc. Another interesting recipe is Panha Thandai.

Here I prepared slightly different manner.  I grilled the same, removed the pulp.  Similarly, grill the Green chilli also.  If you wish you can use red chilli too but while grilling be careful.




Let us look at the recipe now:


Time taken: 30 minutes
Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:


2 Raw Mangoes (inside if it is slightly yellow, it is good) You will get sweet, sour, spicy  chutney
2  - 4 Green Chillies
1/4 Cup Coconut
 1-2 Tbsp Curd (optional)
Salt

Tempering: Optional

1 Tsp oil
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
Pinch of Fenugreek seeds
Red chilli pieces.
Curry leaves.
Pinch of asafoetida

Method:

Step 1

Grill the Mangoes and Green chilli on the gas stove as shown on the video.  Allow to cool.  Peel off the skin of the mangoes and grind it along with Coconut Green Chilli, salt.  Add Curd if you want.

Step 2

 Temper with the ingredients mentioned under tempering.  Tempering is optional.

How to serve.

Serve with Idli / Dosa / Upma / Pidikozhukkattai etc.
