Sundal masala powder can be made and stored. this can be used for making tomato based curries too.
sundal is made out of chana, moong etc. during Navarathi. Normally, coconut and green chilli is used but this powder is also equally good for the sundal.
Let us look at the recipe now:
Ingredients:
1 cup coriander seeds
1/2 cup urad dal or chana dal
1/4 cup curry leaves
2 tsp saunf
1 tsp amchur powder
20 red chillies ( i used kashmiri chilli)
1/2 tsp hing powder
1 tsp oil
Method:
Dry roast all the ingredients separately except chilli. roast the red chilli with oil. cool it and grind to a coarse powder or fine powder as you wish. store it in airtight container.
