Sambhar is a South Indian Cusine, served along with Idli, Dosa, Upma, Dumplings and Rice.
This one pot sambhar is very easy and quick to make. Soak the dal, Tamarind for two hours. Extract the pulp of the tamarind, add sambhar powder in it along with jaggery. Follow the steps given below. Your quick sambahr is ready to serve with Idli, Dosa, Upma, Dumplings.
Pumpkin Adai is a tasty item for Breakfast. Preparation is very simple and healthy too. Let us see the Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup Rice, 1/2 kg Red Pumpkin, 3/4 Cup Chana dal, 1/4 cup Tuvar Dal or Masoor 1 Sprig Curry Leaves, 2 Red Chilli or you can use Green Chilli also. 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper, 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds, Salt, Hing Powder, 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder, Oil for making Adai. Preferably Sesame oil. 1/2 cup Shallots chopped or onion chopped.
Method:
Wash and Soak the Rice, Dal, Red Chilli for 2-3 hours. Grind the Rice, Dal, Curry leaves, Red chilli, then add black pepper, cumin seeds, hing powder, turmeric powder and grind coarsely. If you are making dosa, the batter should be smooth. For Adai, the batter should be coarse. In the adai batter, you can add veggies according to your choice, but in dosa no veggies.
We can make use of Dudhi, Carrot, Cabbage, Beetroot also while preparing this Adai. Adai batter is coarsely ground and for dosa, it is very fine batter.
Heat a tava and drizzle oil and wipe with wet cloth. Pour laddleful of batter and spread. Drizzle oil and cook both the sides till done.
Serve with White butter, Jaggery, any kind of chutney.

It is made with peeling and crushing ginger and mixing with the tamarind pulp and fried Urid dal, Red chilli, Curry leaves etc.
Thakkali Dosa or Tomato Omlette is made with gram flour. If you have unexpected guests, you can make this instantly if you have the ingredients mentioned below at home. Normally, everyone will have the basic ingredients suggested in this recipe, however, if you do not have, can skip that.

Ingredients:
1 Cup gram flour/besan/kadala mavu
2 Medium size tomatoes
1 onion
1 Tbsp rice flour
Green chilli or past as per your requirement
Garam Masala as required
Pinch of Hing powder
Roasted cumin powder
Salt
Pinch of Turmeric Powder
Chopped coriander leaves.
Oil
Method:
Step 1
Chop the Tomatoes, Onion, Coriander finely.
Step 2
Mix the Gram flour, rice flour, dry masalas, salt. Add one cup water and keep aside for 5 minutes. Then mix well without any lumps. Add chopped vegetables in it and mix.
Step 3
Heat
tava grease with oil. Spread laddleful of batter on the tava. Let it cook,when the top side becomes dry,drizzle some oil. Flip and cook other side also till brown spots appear on it.
How to serve:
Serve along with sauce or green chutney.
