Another hit, healthy breakfast menu on your table. This recipe was shared by my friend Shubha and I thank her for sharing the same with me.
It is indeed a great healthy recipe with some onion and vegetable in it. You can choose vegetable according your wish.
Since no urad dal is involved in it, certain people who cannot conusme the urad dal can enjoy this dosa and uttappam.
I made the same with onion and some grated carrots, green chilli in it. You can also add capsicum of your choice which will be colourful. Uploading You tube:
Let us look at the recipe now:
Ingredients:
1 cup nachni flour
1/2 cup rava
1 cup yoghurt
salt as required
Method:
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Add the beaten curd in it and mix well. Add water to bring to the dosa consistency.
Heat a tava, pour one laddleful of batter on the tava, drizzle some oil. when it is cooked, flip to cook the other side.
serve hot with sambhar and chutney.
FOR UTTAPPAM:
onion, carrot grated, chopped capsicum, coriander leaves, green chilli etc.
After adding the curd, slowly add water as required. You can either make the batter into dosa consistency and after pouring do not spread the batter or the water can be reduced to make a thick batter.
Add in one medium size onion finely chopped, 2-3 tbsp carrot grated, a small piece of green chilli finely chopped and mix in the batter.
Heat the tava, drizzle oil. Put the batter on the tava and spread with your hand. make hole with your finers on the uttappam. drizzle oil and cook the same both sides in low flame which will take around 10 minutes. worth waiting.
serve hot with chutney and sambhar.
