Dosas are loved by all specially when it is served from tava to the plate. The kuthiravali flour, I bought from the shop ready made and used to make dosa like the way we may rava dosa. It was nice with chutney and sambar. kuthiravali dosa
You can also buy the millet and grind for making idli and dosa.
Let us look at the recipe now:
Time taken: 30 - 40 minutes
serves: 2
Ingredients:
1 cup kuthiravali flour
2 tbsp rava
1 green chilli finely chopped
1 onion finely chopped\
a small piece of ginger finely chopped (optional)
salt
a pinch of asafoetida
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves.
oil for making dosa
Method:
Mix all the ingredients with water to form a batter like the rava dosa consistency. rub the cumin seeds in your palm and add.
Heat non stick tava, smear with oil, pour laddleful of batter like we pour for rava dosa. drizzle oil cook both the sides crisp.
How to serve:
serve hot with chutney, sambhar.
If you are buying the millet :
2 cups of kuthiravali
1/2 cup urid dal
1/4 tsp fenugreek (optional)
soak the kuthiravali and urid dal separately. soak the fenugreek along with urid dal. grind separately. while grinding the millet, do not add more water like we normally add while grinding rice. keep for fermentation overnight. make idli as we make the normal idli and while making dosa, add little water.
