RAVA DHOKLA

RAVA DHOKLA is an easy recipe shared with me by  SARASWATI.  It was easy to prepare and tasted good.    She shared the recipe with me recently  and I prepared the next day.    Dhokla is a steamed dish prepared by Gujaratis.  You can add veggies if you wish to make it more healthy.





Let us look at the recipe now:


Total time taken:  90 minutes
serves: 2

Ingredients:


1/4 Cup rava (suji.semolina)
1/4 cup milk
1/4  cup fresh  curd
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp eno
ginger green chilli paste, salt, hing as per taste.

Tempering:

2 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp white seasme seeds

Garnishing:

pomegranate seeds, grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.

Method:

In a mixing bowl, mix, rava, milk, curd,salt, hing powder.  mix well and keep aside for 30 minutes.
grease a plate with oil.  boil water in steamer.  add the green chilli ginger paste,sugar  in the mix.  add eno and mix it stirring in one direction.  when it rises, pour into the plate, steam cook for 15 minutes.  check by inserting knife or a toothpick. if it comes out clean the same is cooked.  remove and allow to cool.

temper with the ingredients and garnish.

How to serve:

serve with green chutney.
