Fresh haldi, ambe halad it is known as, manga inji (mango ginger) chutney. This is good for the stomach.

Ingredients:
2 pcs manjal (fresh halad)
2 pcs manga inji (mango ginger)
asafoetida
1 tsp jaggery
1 tomato (optional)
2 tsp scraped coconut (optional)
salt
dry roast:
2 tsp tuvar dal
2 tsp chana dal
3 red chilli
1 green chilli
1 tsp saunf
a small piece of tamarind
few curry leaves
Method:
dry roast ingredients mentioned separately, cool it. chop the halad and mango ginger. Mix all the ingredients and grind to a fine paste. add water as required. serve with idli, dosa, rice, dal rice etc. can also serve with hot plain rice with ghee or sesame seed oil and this chutney.
