Poha coconut pak is a simple and easy sweet dish for the neivedyam. This can be prepared so quickly for your unexpected guests too as the ingredients are always available at home. If you get the naadan aval " brown colour one which is very tasty and healthy too, tastes heavenly. You can make Poha modak also out of this.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup poha, aval, pressed rice, flattened rice, flaked rice, beaten rice
1/2 cup jaggery
1/2 cup grated coconut or dried coconut
2 tbsp roasted and crushed peanuts or 2 tbsp roasted crushed almonds or sliced pistachios
a generous pinch of cardamom powder
4-5 tbsp ghee + 1/2 tsp ghee for greasing the plate.
Garnishing;
4-5 roasted almonds sliced or pistachios.

Method:
Put the poha in mixer and grind to a rava form. heat kadai and add the ground poha in it, roast till the colour changes into brown. remove it on a plate.
in the same kadai, add one cup water, jaggery and boil till the jaggery melts. strain to remove the impurities, if any. transfer back to the kadai the jaggery syrup, add the coconut and boil for 5 minutes. add the roasted poha, ghee and cook till it starts leaving the kadai. add cardamom powder. Transfer the same into the greased plate. garnish with the sliced dry fruits. allow to cool and cut into desired shapes and serve. or ready for neivedyam.
