CORN FLAKES CHIVDA, CHIVDA

Corn flakes chivda is easy to make.  I used Dry corn flakes.  This is yet another festival recipe, diwali recipe and a snack item any times.  I got time today only to make the Diwali farals (Bhakshanam) for our family,  I found this easy as I had to fry only the corn flakes and peanuts.  I know that I am too late to post the recipe, hope you all will like this.

Let us see the recipe now:

INGREDIENTS:

250 gms dry corn flakes
3/4 cup raw  peanuts
4 tbsp dalia (roasted gram, chutney dal, pottu kadalai)
1/4 cup cashews
1/4 cup sliced kopra
1/4 cup raisins
salt, sugar, chilli powder as per taste
few curry leaves
oil for frying

Method:

Heat the oil.  the flame should be low.  put handful of corn flakes in it. fry and remove it on a paper tissue. later on transfer into a paper for removing extra oil.  continue the process till you finish the corn flakes. lastly add the peanuts and fry, remove from the oil and put in paper towel to remove the excess oil.  In another kadai, roast the cashews, sliced kopra, curry leaves and raisins separately.  Put everything in a wide vessel.  add the chilli powder, salt  little bit sugar etc toss everything well.  when cool, keep it in airtight container.
