BITTER GOURD CURD CURRY ll PAVAKKA THAYIR CURRY ll KARELA CURD CURRY

 

Bitter gourd is good for health especially for those who are suffering from diabetes. Various dishes can be made with this. Today, I tried it with curd which was quite tasty with rice.

 I finely chop them and put in curd with little salt which is my husband's favourite.

 I have made few dishes with bitter gourd and posted in the channel.

 Ingredients:

 Bitter gourd

Onion

Salt

Turmeric

Onion chopped

 

Tempering:

Oil

Mustard seeds

Cumin seeds

Curry leaves

Red chilli pcs

Green Chilly

Garlic (optional)

 

Other:

 Fresh Curd

 

1. Heat Kadai. Add oil. When it is hot, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves.

 2. When it is done, add the garlic, green chilly, red chilly, onion and saute.

 3. Add the chopped bitter gourd, salt, turmeric powder and cook till it is soft.

 4. Switch off gas. Cool and add curd.

 The Bitter gourd curd curry is ready.

 

Serve it with Chapati, Rice. OR if you like it as raita you can serve it with pulao, biryani also.
