Amla or Avla or Gooseberry or Nellikka it is known as is available now and we make various kinds of pickle, thokku, put in salt water etc.
I have made various dishes out of it. Apart from pickle, I made rasam out of it and was quite tasty and healthy too.
It is a different kind of chutney which was shared by my friend Trupti from Bangalore.

Let us look at the recipe now:
Ingredients:
10 Nos Amla
Handful of Peanut
7-8 Green Chilli
8-9 Garlic Pods
2 Handful of Coriander leaves chopped
1/2 Tsp Jeera(Cumin seeds)
1/4 Tsp Haldi (Turmeric Powder)
Lemon size Jaggery
2 Tbsp Oil
Salt as required.
Method:
Step 1
Wash and wipe amla and cut it. Hat oil. Add peanuts and fry till brown. Add Jeera, Haldi, Garlic. Fry garlic, green chilli. Add amla and cook open. Add salt and stir. Cool.
Step 2
Put in Mixer the cooled ingredients, fresh coriander, Jaggery. Grind coarsely by using incher mode 2-3 times. Do not add water.
Step 3
Amlyacha Kharda is ready to serve.
How to serve:
Serve along with Dal Rice, Curd Rice or chapati and phulka.
