Greens are always good for health. I always try to make use of the greens of radish, beetroot, colacasia, knol khol etc. Here I have used the greens of radish and made a simple dry subzi out of it.
Here is the recipe:
3 radish greens,
1 tsp moong dal
1 tsp rice roasted
1 tsp grated coconut
salt
turmeric powder
green chilli
1 onion finely chopped
1 tsp oil
tempering;
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/ tsp cumin seeds
Method:
Wash the greens with salt water so that if any worms are there, will be removed. finely chop them.
heat oil in kadai. put the mustard seeds,when it splutters, add cumin seeds. when it is done, add the green chilli chopped, onion chopped and saute for two minutes. add the greens, moong dal, salt, turmeric powder, cover and cook till the greens are done. Now add the roasted rice, grated coconut.
How to serve:
serve along with chapati, roti, dal rice, sambar rice, rasam rice etc.
